Business Coaching with Dave – A thinking partner for rapid business growth and building a scalable and resilient company.
I know that organising an exploratory meeting with me can be a big ask for many Owner Directors of small and medium sized companies.
Before you commit to a meeting with me, I like to lay out all the details you need on how working with me as your thinking partner will grow your business and enable you to become a more confident, resilient, and capable Business Leader.

So here it is…the low down of what is on offer.
I will start working with just six new business owners this year and want to explore whether this might suit you.
In just six months, we will work together to transform your company, results and (maybe the most important thing) your confidence and resilience as a Business Leader.
The program has a straightforward objective:
Double the outcomes for half the effort.
We’ll determine exactly where you want to be and where you are and then implement a simple, executable business plan to double your company’s profitability/ reach while reducing your need for detailed input and helping you shape a new experience for yourself of running the company.
Our work together, the challenges we tackle and the order in which we tackle them will be tailored to you, your company and your market. It doesn’t matter where you or your company are at this point.
I won’t make you read books for books’ sake, follow a system that doesn’t work for you, or attend irrelevant seminars. We’ll work one-on-one, building and executing YOUR plan grounded in timeless business and psychological principles.
What we’ll work on
We will attack the three biggest challenges that are stopping you from getting your company to where you want it. These challenges are typically:
- Creating a sustainable high-growth, customer-focused, profitable and cash-generative plan
- Developing your leadership so your attention, focus and time is put toward the things that will get you where you want to be
- Creating a high-performing team (supported by systems and data) that serves customers and delivers your numbers.
Let’s dive into each of these a little more.
A sustainable, high-growth, customer-focused, profitable and cash-generative plan
Together, we can:
- Unpack your business’s economics to find the quick wins in profit margins, cash flow, operating costs, and marketing/sales efforts. Then, we will build a simple, sustainable marketing, sales, and margin plan.
- Tidy up the delivery of your products and service so that quality and service become consistent and reliable.
- Explore how your products and reputation fit into your market and what the crystal ball tells you about upcoming opportunities and threats. This will help you create a long-term strategy to meet your vision.
Developing your leadership style and approach
Together, we can:
- Set out a compelling vision for your business—not the one you think you are supposed to want, but the one that will get you out of bed in the morning and engage you with excitement and focus.
- Figure out how you need to show up to communicate, make good decisions, and act in ways that drive your vision and plans for the company and prevent you from blowing your own toes off.
- Work out the things you need to stop doing so you can start doing the things that will move your company forward.
Create a high-performing team.
Together, we can:
- Explore the performance and capability of your company’s managers and key personnel so we can devise a development path for the team.
- Redesign the structure, communication, and reporting so that everyone is pulling in the same direction, aware of what they need to know, and can contribute fully (or get off the bus).
- Establish a framework for everyone to understand high performance, measure it, and hold themselves accountable for service and performance.
At the end of the six months, you will
- Be 100% confident in your ability to drive your company forward, no matter what is going on, with less effort, stress and anxiety
- Have a team that is not just able to do what you ask of them but that are partners in your journey and contributing to their maximum
- Have a clear plan that you can execute that is moving your company in the direction you want it to go rather than just cruising along in a reactive hamster wheeling cycle
- Be delivering higher profitability and delighting your customers with consistency and value
It’s a bold claim (and one I am willing to guarantee), but that is what I do.

Who is this for?
This program of work is right for you if you are a Business Owner / MD / Partner of a small company. You will likely have at least ten employees (or a willingness to grow the team if you don’t) and a genuine desire to create change in your commercial circumstances.
You must be open and honest with me and willing to confront and address whatever is holding you back, even if, at times, that might feel uncomfortable.
I’m flexible, pragmatic, to the point and not afraid to make you laugh at yourself if that’s what it takes. If these aren’t things you can’t tolerate in others, then we probably aren’t going to work well together.
I am not here to tell you what to do or make you read/watch/attend stuff you don’t want to learn. I am your thinking partner, and my only goal is to get you where you want to be as quickly and effortlessly as possible.
How much time will I have to commit to this?
We’ll talk every week, and I’ll need you to commit an hour daily to the supporting actions. However, we will figure out how to free up your diary for this, and over time, your diary will clear, so you have more free time to focus on bigger things as time progresses.
What’s the commitment from me?
We’ll have three half-day sessions together during the program and a weekly 1-on-1 session during the six months. This is to ensure rapid and sustained progress with minimum disruption and effort.
I am also available to you 24/7 to help with any issues or challenges in between sessions.
My PA will make all of these arrangements with you and will also administer the project (including following up with you and making sure the information requested by either of us is provided)
How much knowledge do you assume I already have?
You know your business better than I do, and that’s all you need. Working together, we’ll merge what you know and what I know to identify and implement meaningful action that creates sustained change.
What sort of team do I need to do this work?
Of course, it’s helpful to have some good managers around you who can support you, but it’s not a prerequisite. It is unlikely your team will look the same as it does now by the time we finish the project.
How can I guarantee this will work?
First and foremost, it will work if you come into this with the intention and commitment to make it work, but I also offer a guarantee.
If you take all the actions we agree to (I will never force you to do anything, but I expect you to make commitments and keep them) and you do not see at least a return on the investment, I will either coach you for free until you do or I will give you your money back, whatever you prefer.
What is the investment?
The six-month program costs just £10,000 + VAT, payable in three payments: £4k at commencement and two further payments of £3k at months three and five.
Bonus
As part of this program, you and your team will have access to a range of free training sessions with me covering the fundamentals of Sales, Customer Service and Management. These popular and powerful courses are pretty much worth the investment on their own.
They enable your people to sharpen their skills and broaden their understanding, allowing them to achieve high-performance levels and help you drive the company forward.
These include
- The Sales Ninja program – Six modules covering how to effectively sell your products/services and build enduring commercial relationships with customers
- The Service Ninja program—Six modules on dealing with customers in ways that keep them on board and get them talking positively about you to others.
- Functional workshops – Half-day workshops for your managers where they get to learn some new ideas and share experiences with managers from other small companies
- 60-minute manager sessions – A range of one-hour skills training sessions including personal organisation, commercial awareness, communication skills and managing performance
What should I do next if I am interested?
At this point we don’t know enough about each other to make an informed decision to work together. You don’t really know how and whether I can help you deliver the changes you want and need, and I don’t know if you are the type of person who would ‘do the work’ so that we can achieve the results/
